Essence Learning progressively reflects awareness of the "truth" of ones experience.
The blue skies contain the clouds and all material; the Mind contains the blue skies.
In essence learning, it is useful to interchange essence for understanding and wisdom, Value for Quality, and Knowledge for Quantity. With this interchange of words we maintain the essential structure of our approach while penetrating deeper into the essential process and structure of essence learning, which at this point may be stated as: we are in pursuit of Value-knowledge, which leads to essences.  Our pursuit continues into ways of expressing this knowledge and essences."
Essence learning is an inward spiraling process that brings one to deeper and more complete  awareness of  the essence in experience.  It is a process of  progressive, inner, reflective awareness. That is, in its application, essence learning progressively reflects inner awareness of the "truth" of ones experience. This inward spiraling continues until one is capable of lifting himself or herself beyond experiences of ordinary emotions and mentations to a point where he or she grasps the essence and quality in the experience. This happens through a series of repetitive steps and phases. Through essence learning, we first acquire a total picture of the dynamics happening in the situation surrounding us; then we elicit from ourselves the events in the situation that are relevant. We work through, in repetition, a series of five steps and phases that successively spiral in on the essence in our experience. Through this progressive, reflective awareness we are ranging in on value knowledge, which is in one sense our capability to appreciate authentically another human being. We become aware also of the many factors in the situation that we heretofore did not cognize. This increases our capability to value others for their own sake and not only because they might have something that is useful for, or important to, us. More importantly, we begin to discover our own essence, without which we can never fully understand another.
